2022 Exhibitions

18th March until 16th May

Joint Exhibition

A fabulous joint exhibition from John Hammond, David Goddard, John Hammond and Amelie Anderson. This is an exhibition combining a variety of styles and subjects.

16th May until 17th July

Rebecca de Mendonca ASEA

This is Rebecca’s second exhibition at the Harbour Gallery. Rebecca’s love of atmosphere and movement started with her Theatre Design degree at Wimbledon School of Art. She is fascinated by Exmoor, and the ponies that live there. Rebecca is an Associate member of the Society of Equestrian Artists, and is inspired by the landscapes of Devon and Somerset, including the people, and animals that are part of the landscape.

Pastels are her perfect medium, allowing her to simultaneously combine drawing and painting; making marks with energy, fluidity and precision.

Rebecca teaches pastel courses in Britain and Italy, and her book, Pastels for the Absolute Beginner was published by Search Press in 2019.

Exhibitions include the Pastel Society, and Artists of the Year 2019, at the Mall Galleries, London.

18th July until 8th September

Chris Howe

Chris has been living and working in Somerset for many years. He works mainly in watercolours but also produces work using pastel and pen and ink. He enjoys using bold brush strokes and a limited palette to produce paintings which appear fresh and atmospheric. His main inspiration comes from the countryside around his home but also enjoys walking and painting in mountain scenery. He has trained and exhibited successfully in Somerset and Devon where he has an enthusiastic following.  He teaches watercolour techniques in many classes across Exmoor including all three National Park Centres.

9th September until early 2023

Graham Towler

Graham once again joins us for his winter exhibition. Landscapes have always been Graham’s motivation to paint and this exhibition focuses mainly on Exmoor. He feels that the medium of paint allows him to capture the various tones, colours and textures created by the natural world.
